Hands down the celebration of Pac-Man’s 30th Anniversary in 2010 was the biggest time waster ever.  It was reported that up to $120 Million USD of productivity was lost to this doodle.  The numbers are a bit exaggerated I’m sure but there was much buzz at the time about workers caught playing this instead of working.  Now, you can play it too.  Note, I only played it 15 times while writing this.
