1.) Tore Hedin
Tore Hedin was already a criminal even before he became a cop, stealing oats and setting a local brewery on fire when he was 16. His first ever victim was his best friend. He shot him after a poker game and set fire to the crime scene. His next victims included his own parents, his ex-girlfriend, and one of her bosses before setting fire to all the crime scenes.

2.) John Christie
John Christie had a history of violent assault and theft prior to becoming a cop. While in service, he committed several murders that included a prostitute that he was having an affair with, a neighbor, another neighbor and her unborn baby, three more prostitutes, and his own wife.

3.) Mikhail Popkov
Mikhail Popkov is known as one of the most terrifying serial killers in Russia. He murdered at least 22 women (the number could go up to 30) from 1992 to 2000 and all of them were full-figured and bore a resemblance to his abusive mother. He used his job as a way for the women to trust him before raping them and mutilating their bodies. The only reason he stopped his killing spree was because he got venereal disease, causing him to become impotent and lose pleasure in raping his victims.

4.) Christopher Jordan Dorner
Dorner’s killing spree was trigerred when he was relieved of his duties from the LAPD. He posted a manifesto on his Facebook account, detailing his grievances towards the LAPD and even included a list of names of people who will pay for what happened. He ended up killing four people before being involved in a standoff, and eventually shooting himself in the head.

5.) Tiago Henrique Gomes Da Rocha
Technically not a police officer, but still a figure of authority, Tiago Henrique Gomes Da Rocha is one of the most prolific serial killers in Brazil. Her targetted homeless people, homosexuals, and prostitutes that resembled his girlfriend. He has killed at least 39 people before being caught in 2014.

6.) Zeng Kaigui
Zeng Kaigui was an expert in surveillance and served as a cop in the People’s Liberation Army. His MO was to approach his victims as they’re leaving with cash from the bank or an ATM before shooting them and stealing their money.

7.) David Stephen Middleton
Middleton served as a cop in Miami before becoming a cable guy but seemingly forgot to use his experience from the force to evade authorities. He used his new profession to find his victims and ended up murdering two women, and another possible one.

8.) Anthony Sully
After serving as a cop, Anthony Sully started his own contracting business which became a success. He began using cocaine and employing the services of prostitutes. Not being satisfied with just sex, he would bound and rape his victims before disposing of their bodies. He ended up murdering 5 prostitutes and one pimp.

9.) Gennady Mikhasevich
Gennady Mikhasevich was a volunteer officer in the USSR. He was often assigned to investigate the murders that he had committed, with 13 people being falsely accussed of his crimes. He murdered around 36 women (the number could be as high as 55) by raping and strangling them from 1971 to 1985.

10.) Norbert Poehlke
Norbert Poehlke’s family was $400,000 in debt after his daughter passed away from cancer. This trigerred him to commit bank robberies throughout West Germany, which he got away from by killing drivers and stealing their vehicles. He did this 3 times, but when the police were onto him, he decided to take the coward’s way out and shot his wife, two sons, and himself.

11.) Gerard John Schaefer
Gerard John Schaefer was convicted of torturing and murdering two girls, with the possibility of more victims. Even creepier? He became a fiction writer and his topics involved a deranged cop who tortured and killed women.

12.) Drew Peterson
Instead of getting a divorce, 30-year police veteran Drew Peterson preferred to kill two of his last wives before dumping their bodies. Of course, two of his first wives also attested to the fact that Peterson was an abuser and he always made comments about how he can kill them and make it look like an accident.

13.) Manuel Pardo
Manuel Pardo, an ex-cop, and his partner robbed and murdered nine drug dealers and users. He was unrepentant for his crimes, saying that he was merely getting rid of the scum of the earth.

14.) James Burke
There hasn’t been any officials convictions yet, but former Suffolk County police chief James Burker is believed to be the Long Island serial killer. There are at least 14 women, one man, and one baby that were murdered and dumped at or near Gilgo Beach.

15.) Jon Burge
While he hasn’t directly murdered anyone, Jon Burge was a police detective who was notorious for torturing suspects to coerce confessions– most of which were carried out on African-Americans. Just imagine what kind of mental and physical effects his methods had: burning suspects using hot radiators, cigarettes, and cattle prods, suffocation via plastic bags, electroshock therapy, and electrocuting genitals.
