Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Raises The Bar

As two of the hottest models in the fashion world, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne were destined to be BFFs from the get-go. Karl Lagerfeld is definitely capitalizing on the gorgeous twosome’s best friend forevership, sending them down his Fall/Winter 2015 runway in all their sisterly glory. Who needs a boyfriend when you’ve got a gal pal like Cara?

Love him or hate him, Karl Lagerfeld is a man who knows what he wants. The Chanel creative director is famed for his extravagant runway shows, using everything from a supermarket backdrop to a rodeo to showcase his creations. For him, it’s all about the spectacle. Models stopped at the bar mid-show, adding to the allure of the Chanel girl. Chic, classic and ever bold, fashionistas craving Chanel are those that crave the high life.

There’s a reason for the world-wide infatuation. Chanel garments are recognizable from miles away. The label’s classic tweed was met with dark glamour for the fall season, resulting in a delightful mix of fashion and fury. As if Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows could get any darker, black brows somehow suited her personality even more. She wore a sheer black dress adorned in silver hardware, accompanied by opulent jewels that surely belong in a museum somewhere.

A number of stars graced the front rows of the show, from Florence Welch to Cara’s older sister Poppy. The supermodel had yet to appear in any Paris fashion shows, but “better late than never”, as we and Drake say. What is a designer without his star model, after all?
