When it comes to style, there are fashionistas and then there is Olivia Palermo. One of our absolute favorite style icons, Palermo is known for her effortlessly chic outfits, perfect assembled but boasting that “I woke up like this” kinda vibe. Perfect as perfect can be, there has been much speculation about what the glam girl would be wearing for her walk down the aisle. Valentino and Cavalli were among the names in the ringer, but it was the timelessly chic Carolina Herrera who took the prize. If we hadn’t seen the pictures, we may not have believed it, but Palermo rocked the aisle in a 3-piece outfit comprised of shorts, a cashmere sweater and a tulle skirt. Unconventional? Sure. Drop dead gorgeous? Absolutely! She even threw in those stunning sapphire Manolos Carrie wore for her trip to City Hall with Big. We can’t! Simplicity at its finest, we love everything about this look. While we may not have chosen it for ourselves, it was definitely made for Olivia.
Now, simmer down, glamour goddesses. There is another ceremony on the way, and we’re sure Palermo will be sporting something a big more luxe. Much like Carrie’s Vivienne Westwood frock in S&TC, we’re pretty sure the gal’s got a gorgeous gown in mind. Needless to say, we can’t wait! We’re putting our money on something with either tons of tulle or tons of feathers, because we all know Olivia doesn’t do anything at half force. Congrats to the happy couple!
