The 2014 BET Awards definitely brought the drama, both in fashion and in beef (we’re lookin at you, Nicki Minaj!). The ladies displayed glam to the max and, save it to say, we were loving every minute of the show. It may as well have been Michael Costello’s birthday, because tons of starlets were rocking his creations to the affair. With a celeb client list ranging from Beyonce to Paris Hilton, the Project Runway alum is clearly among the hottest designers on the planet at the moment. Not to brag or anything, but we’ve known he was hot stuff ever since that ahhh-mazing high-neck feather gown he sent down the runway during his season. Just sayin’, we know talent when we see it!
If we had to choose a favorite from the pool of Costello’s girls, we’d have to give it Adrienne Bailon. From the fit to the cut and the sparkle (oh, the sparkle!) the girl’s got the glamazon look down to a T. You, too, can get that spicy, sun-kissed look with some cleverly placed bronzer and a bright, punchy lip in cool hues like orange or nude. Throw hair in a slicked-back bun and play up the va-va-voom factor with some killer lashes. Ta-da!
A close second is Paris Hilton’s gorgeous cut-out creation. Leave it to Paris to make a statement! Loves it. Cut-outs are still completely hot for summer, so stock up on a variety of tops boasting these cool little details that are sure to draw the eye.
