While we couldn’t be more amped up for the return of spring, the weather isn’t always on our side. In between the raging snow one day and the bright, sunny skies the next, it can be hard to put together the perfect outfit with which to navigate the streets in style. When the weather is still cool but you’ve got a hankering for those warm weather duds, opt for a cool mix of preppy chic to get the job done.

We’re always taken aback by her expert ability to mix fancy shmancy pieces with chill ones, which is why we are obsessed with everything about her Forever 21 sweat shirt and jeans. Sexy but totally classy in all its preppy-inspired glory, we can’t wait to replicate this look with other cozy sweatshirts still in our closets from fall. We’ll be sporting ours with a bright pop of color on the lip, a la Courtney, and a high pony-tail to drive this class act look on home. Denim is a fabulous pairing for this lightweight sweater, but a pleated skirt will be just as adorable. A floral print, plaid print or polka dot print are all super cute options to experiment with. Whether you choose a pair of sky-high wedges or a chic little ankle boots, a wide variety of footwear will do just fine.
