Not too long ago, a pair of exotic white tigers was located at a remote sanctuary under extreme situations. The tigers were expecting the birth of their baby, but given the morbid living conditions, the ill-fated mother was likely to end up without a cub by her side. Then something amazing happened, and the feral cats couldn’t be more grateful to their human companions.

It was exactly two months ago when two white tigers, Zahra and Assad were rescued from a Texas sanctuary. Police and wildlife experts haven’t spilled a lot of details, but from what it’s known, the tigers were being held captive on a private property – and that too without legal paperwork.

21. Wild Animals are Often Misunderstood

While it is true that people like to pet wild animals at private residences, they sometimes tend to ignore the fact that such animals are extremely hard to maintain. Let alone, the cost factor, medical bills and such other commodities that help to provide a natural habitat for these animals at any place is sky high.

20. The Tigers Desperately Needed Help

The two month pregnant Zahra was already looking for a hiding place inside the sanctuary where she could prepare for her new cub. However, the secluded den gave an all open – full frontal view of the tigers 24/7, due to which they felt threatened and vulnerable to the outsider. Something had to be done sooner, otherwise, the tigress was under the pressure of losing her cub forever.

If it weren’t for In-Sync Exotics’ Emily Wilson, the two tigers would have most likely died due to the emotional stress of losing their baby. The aforementioned is an exotic wildlife sanctuary that worked with the local Texas County Sheriff and Wildlife rescuers to bring in the white tigers after their rescue mission.

18. Rescuers Were Highly Concerned About Tigers Health

According to an expert from In-Sync Exotics, it was the sheriff who was informed first about the tigers in captivity. “When we arrived, the tigers’ enclosure was just fence and grass. We were afraid of their physical condition, but the situation didn’t look hopeless.”

17. The Living Condition Was Just Not Right

Fortunately, the tigers were not in a bad physical form, but their living environment was not conducive or what experts would like to call, “a welcoming place for a breeding tigress.”

Angela Culver or In-Sync Exotics also said that there were no high platforms, toys or medical equipment available on site. When the owner of the place was interrogated, he demonstrated an inability to take care of wild animals. In-Sync Exotics got all the paperwork done and prepared for transporting the animals back to safety.

15. Baby Cub Welcomes The World Finally…

47 days after the tigers were brought in, Zahra gave birth to a healthy male cub in the safety of the new sanctuary. Experts named the baby: Kylo Ren, a name inspired by the Star Wars movie series. The founder of the In-Sync Exotics rescue center happened to be a diehard Star Wars fans.

By the way, In-Sync Exotics is officially known for spaying and neutering the animals in captivity. They do so to maintain the necessary high health standards of the animals living in the sanctuary. The idea of spaying or neutering animals may seem a little “cruel” to you, but authorities do it to prevent the loss of life and contain the animals in a place where they cannot afford overpopulation hazards.

13. Baby Tiger Is Named Kylo Ren… Think Star Wars for a Second!

Kylo’s name also has a deeper meaning; the tiger’s father: Assad Dost means Lion Friend. Therefore, they named the cub Kylo Ren to carry two meanings. Kylo is similar to Kiro, a white tiger that used to be everyone’s favorite at In-Sync Exotics.

12. Kylo Ren’s Name was Also Decided In Living Memory of Another White Tiger

Kiro died sometime ago due to natural health issues. They wanted Kylo to live and grow in the ongoing memory of the great white tiger that was recently lost.

11. Things Look Bleak for Baby Kylo

Kylo’s life wasn’t always easy. In fact, the cub was entirely abandoned by his mother Zahra for some reason. Experts at In-Sync Exotics think that the tigress’s behavior was completely unexpected. It is uncommon for tigresses to ignore their cubs, but for some reason, Zahra just didn’t seem “interested” in taking care of the baby.

10. Mother Tigress Refuses to Take Care of Her Own!

After his birth, Kylo and Zahra were secretly kept under observation without the tigress knowing it. It was found out that the mother was completely ignoring the baby. She’d occasionally lick off dirt from young Kylo’s body, or keep him under her nose but that was the extent of her love.

9. Experts Had to Separate Kylo from Zahra!

After 6 – 8 hours, Kylo was removed from the pen. In-Sync Exotics workers had to regulate Kylo’s body temperature and send in an additional team of experts to nurture the baby back to health. The poor cub was already suffering because of malnutrition, as Zahra refused to nurse him.

8. Entire Social Media Is Surprised At Kylo’s Rapidly Decreasing Health

In a social media update, In-Sync Exotics said, “While Zahra cleaned Kylo off, and did not show any signs of aggression, she refused to keep the cub warm or protected for that matter. She seemed curious on the least to see what the strange “mewling cub” was up to.”

7. Cub Needed Immediate Care!

The cub was given special care 24/7 by Dr. Emily Wilson. You can see that Kylo is already growing up at an alarming rate. The cub seems to be happy and loves to interact with his human caretakers.

6. Things Are Getting Back to Normal

After two weeks, Kylo is at his playful self; meddling around, playing with anything he can get his little paws on.

5. White Tigers are Basically Inbreds!

White tigers are facing an imminent threat from poachers and exotic pet collectors. Since these tigers are inbred to maintain the white coat color, it is likely that Kylo needs to be kept inside the In-Sync Exotics premises all the time. However, nothing can be said for sure at this time.

4. Kylo Looks So Cute

All that we know is that the tiger is insanely adorable, and on his best at all times. This photograph was taken after a long time since after Kylo was brought into this world.

1. Why are White Tigers Considered Exotic?

Image: BoredPanda.Com

White tigers are normally the result of breeding programs. Sometimes sibling white tigers are forced to remain in captivity to encourage breeding, which causes imminent health threats to the newborn baby cubs. This is a malpractice which has to stop. It is one of the main reasons why white tigers are so rare because nature didn’t want them to reproduce in the first place.
