The fashion world is still in mourning over the untimely passing of high-fashion designer L’Wren Scott. While the details surrounding her death are hazy, L’Wren Scott’s impact on fashion is indisputable. As a stylist and designer, L’Wren brought much beauty to the world, evident in the many red carpet dresses worn by some of today’s top celebrities. Anna Wintour had this to say about L’Wren in a statement: “L’Wren was a total perfectionist, someone who absolutely embodied everything her marvelous clothes stood for: strength of character combined with a confident and powerful style…In person, L’Wren was always unbelievably generous, gracious, kind, and so much fun. Her old world American manners and charm were from another time, but her sensibility was always fiercely modern. We will all miss her.”
To honor her legacy, we look back on L’Wren’s collections and admire her passion for creating beautiful works of wearable art.
We had never seen Amy Adams look as radiant as she did walking the red carpet of the 2011 Academy Awards in one of L’Wren Scott’s one-of-a-kind designs. A gorgeous blue and full of sparkle, while we will never quite understand the relevance of that necklace, we appreciate the stunning silhouette of this design. With a long client list filled with style icons like Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman, Scott’s work will not be lost upon future generations of fashionistas.
