After serving 11 months in prison for fraud charges, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice was released from federal prison early Wednesday. iudice was picked up from the Danbury Federal facility in CT by her lawyer.
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice has been released from prison, just in time for Christmas!
Upon her release from federal prison, Teresa Giudice had a very emotional reunion with her four daughters and husband, Joe.
“She’s safe and sound in her own home”.
She’s not off the hook completely, however, on her 15-month sentence. She starred in the Bravo show Real Housewives of New Jersey During the time she spent in prison she did various things to cope. Her daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, made hand-drawn signs for their home’s front door.
She’ll be home for Christmas.
While cameras will document her holiday return, it’s bittersweet at best – Joe reports for his prison time in the new year, a considerably longer stint of roughly four years. She served time after pleading guilty in 2014 to bankruptcy fraud.
Following mandatory release paperwork and procedures, Giudice was released at 5:01 a.m., but was still at the prison as of 5:30 a.m., her lawyer James J. Leonard, Jr. tells PEOPLE.

In April, Joe Giudice was sentenced by Passaic County Superior Court Judge Adam E. Jacobs for possession of a fraudulent driver’s license, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. She’s look much less orange than we’re used to.
Both Giudices admitted a year ago to hiding hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and assets, lying to get loans and mortgages, and filing bogus bankruptcy documents.
