Donald Trump earns blacklist for Megyn Kelly blood comment

After the GOP Debate, Donald Trump said that moderator Megyn Kelly “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of wherever.” Trump was so frustrated with Kelly’s tough Debate questions that he also took to Twitter saying Kelly was “not very good or professional.” Trump, known for off the wall comments about Hispanics and politicians is beginning to lose steam in the Republican race.

Trump may have garnered support with his comments about politicians being “stupid.” However, his latest remarks may be the very beginning of the unraveling of his unlikely rise to the top of the GOP field. Trump on Friday made vague yet ominous remarks about Fox News anchor and GOP debate moderator Megyn Kelly on CNN Tonight, saying that she “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of wherever.”

Trump, the first self proclaimed comedian to make a big splash in politics since Al Franken was elected to the United States senate, may have overplayed his hand with his latest comments. A campaign infamously fueled by realpolitik hyperbole seems to finally be turning on itself, the cannibalization manifesting itself in long anticipated backlash against Trump. Following Trump’s Friday comments, he was summarily dis-invited from this weekend’s RedState Gathering in Atlanta, possibly the first machination in the long awaited establishment blacklisting of the black horse candidate.
