With the recent release of ‘DOOM’, their most celebrated weapons box, ACME Crates Co. has definitely made an impact on the typical survivalist out there. To be honest, this is more than just pocket knives, dull blades and make-believe maces; it’s the real deal. Read on…
While most of the EDC items comprise of multi-tools, handheld devices and knives, the guys at ACME wanted to outperform the rest.
On the same note, it is absolutely true that the Zombie Apocalypse thing is a farfetched idea; it could be a possibility nonetheless. Maybe not in the literal sense, we might end up surviving a nuclear war, a global epidemic or something of the relative scale. In this context, one can say that ACME is doing the world a bit of a service.
They bundled a bunch of medieval type weapons. Each weapon has a b***** history. Not only that, each and every handheld item in the box carries its own trail of colorful stories from a distant past.
Take the mace as an example; you can bludgeon the zombies to death, break their teeth or whatever your little heart desires. Same goes for the ninja sword in this box; good for shanking and decapitating enemies – should the situation call for it.
Closer Look at the ACME Crates DOOM Box for Men
First thing’s first; these bodacious booty kickin’ weapons come neatly packed inside a real 120mm U.S. Military Issued Ammo Can.
In case ACME Crates does not have a ready supply of Ammo Cans available, they switch the packing to a legit Czech 10Z58 crate, which is the cool equivalent of the former ammo box.
The entire set is available for online order at the official ACME Crates website. Although the DOOM set will push your monthly budget back by $500 or so, you will end up with a h*** of an investment.
The set consists of high quality military grade handheld weapons, such as, but not limited to the following.
Unbreakable Composite Baseball Bat
Good for swinging around and popping a few zombie or raider heads while you’re at it. You can also play Baseball with it – should it come down to enjoying a leisurely afternoon in the boonies.
Grappling Hook and Rope
The grappling hook and rope combo exhibits extremely high quality. They could have introduced a lengthier cord, but ACME Crates was aiming to remain within package weight limits.
Still, the default rope can be replaced with a high quality paracord later.
War Club with Steel Spike
The war club could use a bit of a better spike. The one they have on it is only “spiked” to a degree of keeping it within safe limits.
To be honest, it has a bit of a rounded edge, but you can sharpen it as much as you need.
Among other things, ACME Crates DOOM box has a pair of ninja swords, a serrated steel machete; of course, it is balanced for maximum chopping, there’s a throwing axe and a tomahawk in there, and some screw shut nunchucks.
For full list of weapons, you can visit the official ACME Crates website. Scroll over to the “DOOM” tab and see all the details and order information.
It Gets Better…
Talk about adding a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor in the ACME Crates. They also slid in a SP15 Balmshot Chapstick in the box. You don’t want your lips to get chaffed under direct sunlight, do you?
Especially when it’s the middle of the day and you are out prowling for food supplies, or battling a horde of zombies all by yourself, your lips could use a bit of lip balm. It isn’t exactly “man stuff”, but it gets the job done as far is grooming is concerned.
Above all, they send the ACME Crates DOOM with a 3-digit protected lock. You choose the password at the time of ordering this bad boy.
It ensures that the crate remains locked during shipping and handling. More so, if you have a house full of kids, you don’t want those little hands prying in the crate. It could get serious if you are not careful with securing the crate.
ACME Crates has also released a bunch of other items. They got BRASS, BLACK and SILVER as independent products. All three of these boxes are available at a much lower rate (*$145 – $200 per piece).
For example, if you are looking for a good old-fashioned Kershaw Drone knife, bundled with Uzi Glassbreaker series pen and couple of other multi tools, this is it. BLACK’s got the style, visual aesthetics and a high sense of practical application to each and every item in the box.
Speaking of EDCs in BLACK, there’s a flashlight, a paracord keychain and a notebook as extra supplies in this ammo can.
Same goes for SILVER; the necessary bunch of tools in this ammo crate cater to the needs of average users who are looking for a trusty foldable knife, prybars etc. In a way, you can say that nothing is useless in any of the ACME Crates products.
