Charles Barkley Unleashes on CNN: ‘They’ve Been Kissing Butt, Chasing Ratings’

CNN didn’t immediately respond to The Wrap’s request for comment regarding Barkley’s criticism. I guess people respect their candor.

Of course, even if he didn’t get sidelined with a bum shoulder, it would be pretty hard for the 49ers’ quarterback – or anyone, really – to escape Donald Trump’s ongoing anti-Muslim rhetoric, which includes a calling for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”. This is the greatest place in the world. “But to try to divide and conquer – which is what the Republicans always try to do – it’s just sad”.

This probably isn’t the last we’ve heard from Kaepernick on this matter – let’s be honest, it’s only a matter of time until Trump says something else that sends this country into a frenzy.

It’s been known that TNT’s Charles Barkley loves to talk politics. They’ve become like Fox News for the Republicans, to be honest with you.

Barkley also referred to Trump’s loyal following as “losers” who are “afraid to look in the mirror and see why their lives suck”. Your life sucks for a reason, because of you, not because of Hispanics … Do we have to do something about the extremists? He said it’s sad whenever Trump insults people, his poll numbers go up and he also called his supporters “losers”. Maybe? I don’t know, seems like a reach.

So why was Barkley weighing in on politics? This segment had more ways to go wrong than it did to go right. When Turner Sports extended Barkley’s contract to keep him on Inside the NBA, it came with an opportunity: To discuss issues beyond the basketball court.

Barkley had no problem talking at length about CNN’s coverage of the debate and the Presidential election process as a whole, but what he had to say wasn’t at all positive.

Man, that Turner holiday party is gonna be awkward.
